The Baroque influence evolved through the last few years and today we can see a very modern interpretation. Designers often use inspiration from specific time periods to create statement pieces. A great example is this BCBG black and gold motto jacket. The motifs in the embroidery represent the modernist influence. I love how the rich metallic embroidery pops out against the solid black background and creates depth. The seaming details are engineered to compliment the body and create an impeccable fit. I love the fit of the jacket and the statement it creates. I paired the jacket with a black pleated skirt. I finished the look with black tights and black Michael Kors platform sneakers with gold details.
