Color Theory

Hello Blonde Lovers!

It’s been a while since I wore so much color. I’ve been so ready for it with the weather being so gorgeous here in Florida. With this look I am saying “Hello!” to a bright, fun, and exciting summer. While spring trends focused on warm and calming tones,  bright colors are definitely the way to go for summer. “Colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.

If there is a color that screams SUMMER, yellow should definitely be it. This dress is Saks off 5th private label. I got it at the local outlet mall. I fell in love with the bright yellow tone and there were no second doubts. The silhouette is also very flattering because it accentuates the waist and adds curve and movement to the hips.

I felt like this blue Michael Kors bag was the perfect accessory for this dress. The cool blue hue creates contrast against the warm yellow tone. I also wore my blue Linda Farrow sunglasses to match the bag. I got these  at Gilt for an amazing price. They offer a variety of styles and colors, you should check them out!

How can we talk about color without mentioning Sophia Webster?   If I say I love these shoes it will be an understatement. I found them hidden on the top shelves at Nordstrom Rack! The animal print makes them so fun and playful. Colors are combined so nicely, it makes everyone smile when looking at them.  They brighten my day every time I wear them. So sweet and girly, every pair of Sophia Webster shoes tells its own fairy tale.
